Mark your calendars and start planning to attend the 2023 Summer Leadership Forum on Saturday, June 10, 2023.  The one-day event is hosted by the Association and includes a speaker presentation on a leadership topic, a FWIT Board transition and leadership planning meeting, lunch, and plenty of networking with other FWIT members and guests. 

This "don't want to miss" opportunity is a no-cost event for FWIT members and open to non-members for a nominal cost.

Two scholarships in the amount of $1,000 each are available.  All FWIT members in good standing who did not receive an Association Scholarship (General Education or Conference) during the 2021-2022 program year are eligible to apply.

Deadline for receipt of the application is midnight on Tuesday, February 28, 2023.  Winners will be notified by email no later than Friday, March 25, 2023.  The application and full instructions can be found in the Members Area on the Helpful Member Info page.

We had over 160 attendees at this year's conference in San Antonio and are so excited to bring this great group to East Texas! Our FWIT 2022 Conference is just a week away!  What do you need to know? Here are the most important things:

• Our full program will be available on the TBA app!  The Texas Bankers Association provides this as part of their sponsorship, so if you don't have the TBA app on your device, you may want to download it in advance.  Install or open "Texas Bankers Association" and click on the "Events" icon.

• WiFi is complimentary in your hotel guest room, and is sponsored in the meeting rooms by Powers Professional Partners.

• We hope everyone enjoys safe, smooth travel!  To help ease the last leg of your journey, the historic Menger Hotel highly recommends the following:  Use the address: 300 E CROCKETT ST, SAN ANTONIO, TX 78205 on your smart devices to get the correct directions to our hotel.

• Registration will be open from 4:00 to 6:30 PM Wednesday in the Pre-function area of the hotel ballrooms.

• The Welcome Reception Wednesday evening is Fiesta-themed...after all, it IS San Antonio!  Your host committee will be in Fiesta attire if you would like to do that as well.

• Other attire guidelines:
• • Thursday - Professional or Business Casual
  • Thursday Evening - Cocktail
  • Friday - Professional or Business Casual
  • Remember - hotel conference rooms are often quite cool - you may want a jacket, or you will be able to purchase one of our wonderful FWIT blankets at just $35!

• Both  Wednesday's Welcome Reception and Thursday's Social and Banquet will have cash bars.

• If you preordered an FWIT logo polo shirt, please pay for it and pick it up at Registration.  Payment of $35 may be made by cash, check payable to FWIT, or credit / debit card.

• There is a special event for First Time Attendees during Thursday morning's breakfast buffet.  If this is your first FWIT Conference, please join us in Ballrooms B & C near the stage at 8:30 AM!!

• We will have our traditional Silent Auction to help raise funds for FWIT's Association scholarships.  The Silent Auction will be open from 8:00 AM Thursday to 2:00 PM Friday, with a sneak peek available Wednesday afternoon from 5:30 to 6:30 PM.  Come prepared to bid!  Winning bids will be announced during the final session on Friday and items must be paid for and picked up by 5:00 PM Friday.

For 2022 the Association has awarded 10 scholarships to attend our 13th Annual Conference: FWIT 2022 - Choose Your Next: From Surviving to Thriving. Five of these scholarships were offered to first-time FWIT Conference attendees. The remaining five scholarships were awarded to members who had previously attended a FWIT Association Conference. The value of each scholarship is in the amount of the Early Bird registration of $400.  And the winners are:
